Come celebrate Easter under the waves at SEA LIFE 7.4.-10.4.2023!

The Panda Killer Easter trail takes you on an exciting adventure where you can solve puzzles and learn about the Panda Killer's friends and ocean conservation at SEA LIFE. During the Easter weekend, there will also be other fun Easter activities, such as face painting. You might also get to see the HALIHAIN exhibition and dance to the catchy HAI dance!

Winter Garden Easter

Winter Garden is filled with the splendor of Easter flowers and Easter decorations and invites everyone to enjoy the spring atmosphere. It's also worth stopping by to say hello to the carp in the fountain pool! The Winter Garden is open Monday to Thursday 10:00-16:00 and also during the Easter holidays Friday to Monday 10:00-16:00. Free admission to the garden.

The Winter Garden will not feature children's puppet theater performances this Easter due to puppeteer Juha Laukkas's retirement. Pienten Helsinki remembers this wonderful contributor to children's culture with great warmth and hopes that the tradition of bringing children's culture to the Winter Garden, created by Juha, will continue in the future.

Note! Unfortunately, strollers cannot access the garden, but there is a covered stroller parking area on the right side of the courtyard. You can bring your own picnic food to the Winter Garden, and in previous years there has also been a small café operating in connection with events (no information about the current situation).
Read more about the Winter Garden from Pienten Helsinki's What to do article.

On a trip during Easter

To Uunisaari, located near Kaivopuisto you can still access via a pontoon bridge for a few more weeks!

You can also hike during Easter! Have you ever visited Sheep Island, Kruunuvuori Lake, Worm Island, or Stansvik Manor Park? Also Talo Island, Vartiosaari (weather permitting), Tulli Island, Seurasaari and Pukkisaari and even Suomenlinna are wonderful trip destinations also in spring. Pack snacks and wear warm clothing!

Sipoo/ Vantaa: Sipoonkorpi has, for example, an easy-to-navigate Tasakallio - Storträsk route and the Byabäcken nature trail, formerly known as Ponun perinnepostia route, which leads to a grilling spot and a cabin to warm up in. Tip based on experience: with small children, it's best to hike this trail from the beginning to the grilling spot and return via the same route, rather than completing the full loop via the main road. The grilling spot usually has plenty of ready-made firewood, so bring matches and snacks. Update: Some routes may still be slippery!

You should also try the route from Kuusijärvi to Sipoonkorpi and experience a wonderful bridge connection to the national park at the same time. The Sipoonkorpi trails do not have winter maintenance.

Helsinki city outdoor areas can be found on the Helsinki is on the move page.

New and interesting trip destinations can also be found among Uusimaa Recreation Area Association destinations.

After hiking, you can grill at, for example, Uutel's Niemenapa fire place and Seurasaari. Bring your own firewood!
