Easter week activity tips

Winter Garden Easter

The Winter Garden fills with the splendor of Easter flowers and Easter decorations and invites everyone to enjoy the spring atmosphere. Open Tuesdays 9am-3pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 12pm-3pm, and Easter holidays Friday through Monday 12pm-4pm. Free entry to the garden.

Note! Unfortunately, strollers cannot pass through the garden, but there is a covered stroller parking area on the right side of the yard. You can bring your own picnic to the Winter Garden; in previous years there has also been a small café in conjunction with events (no information about the current situation).

Puppet Theater Sytkyt at the Winter Garden

Following tradition, again this year during Easter at the Winter Garden, enjoy children's performances from puppet theater Sytkyt. Performances are free entry.

Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden

At Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden in the greenhouses and garden grounds, you can admire spring awakening. Free entry to the outdoor garden; greenhouse entry fee for ages 7 and up.

During Easter holidays, the botanical garden's greenhouses are open Thursday (Maundy Thursday) 10am-7pm, Friday (Good Friday) closed, Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-5pm, and Monday closed.
The outdoor garden is open daily year-round 9am-8pm.

Easter at Haltiala

Haltiala Farm is open daily 7am-10pm. Cows in the outdoor paddock, sausage grilling opportunity (bring your own sticks), an excellent playground, and a café-restaurant on site. Free entry to Haltiala Farm.
Haltiala's lamb shed is unfortunately still closed due to exceptional circumstances and you won't be able to see the little kids this Easter either. The lamb shed will open to the public on April 21, 2022.

NOTE! At least the road to Haltiala is blocked at the Laammintie underpass, so those arriving by car should park, for example, on the Tampitto side, from which you can reach Haltiala via a pedestrian bridge. You can also reach Haltiala via the Torpparinmäki route across the fields via a small path.

Haltiala's lamb shed opens to the public after Easter on April 21, 2022.

Easter at Fallkulla Farm

Fallkulla Farm is open Easter April 15-18, 2022 daily 10am-2pm. The café Kilikuppila also serves Friday through Monday 10am-2pm.
At Fallkulla you can see and pet many animals, admire kids and lambs. The barn also has a people limit of maximum 80 at a time, so be prepared to wait during busy times. Free entry to Fallkulla Farm.
Note! The farm's parking area is small; a larger parking area is found at Tapanila train station, from which it's less than a 10-minute walk to Fallkulla. You can also reach the place via local trains P, I, and K (Tapanila station).

Korkeasaari is Easter Island

Easter Island event at Korkeasaari April 15-18, 2022. Zoo entry fee applies.

Seurasaari Easter Bonfires

Seurasaari Easter bonfires are lit at Juhlakentä (Celebration Field) on Saturday, April 16, 2022 starting at 6:30pm. Children can dress as Easter witches if they wish. Free entry to the event.

Note the limited parking space! You can also reach the place by bus 24S, which operates between Asema-aukio and Seurasaari every 12 minutes starting at 5:30pm. The last bus leaves Seurasaari toward downtown at 10:08pm. Tram number 4 also runs relatively close to Seurasaari.

Family Easter Disco

Vantaa: Family Easter Disco at Vernissa Cultural Center in Vantaa on Sunday, April 17, 2022 from 12pm-4pm. Free entry to the disco.
