  • Ice skating in October? The wish feature about public skating times at ice rinks in the capital region has been updated!
  • Last day! Helsinki Herring Market at Market Square October 5-11, 2025. Free admission.
  • Sunday's Traditional sailing ship day starts partly already on Saturday, when traditional sailing ships race in the Tervasaari Barrel sailing competition off the coast of Helsinki. The best viewing spots are at the tip of Katajanokka and other land areas surrounding Kruunuvuorenselkä. After the race, the ships traditionally sail in a ceremonial procession of sails towards Sunday's sailing ship day harbor, which this year is Halko Pier.

  • Sports Fun at Sports Mill at Myllypuro metro station on Sundays 9–10:45 AM. Tickets €3.60/adults, €2.10/children, under 9 free of charge.
    Sports Fun offers children under 9 and their families opportunities to move in various ways and have fun. You can arrive on your own schedule, stroller space is available in the lobby, and you should pack your own lock for the locker. 
  • Traditional sailing ship day is celebrated this year at Halko Pier on Sunday 10 AM–4 PM. Free admission.
  • Fire Museum at Erottaja fire station is open Sundays 12–4 PM. Small admission fee.
