Easter Week Activity Ideas and Children's Events

Updated March 30, 2018

What fun activities for children can you find in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Small Helsinki’s weekly series searches for activity ideas and suggests child-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the website is pre-school children and families with small children.

Small Helsinki’s “Where to Go This Week” article is published weekly by Monday at the latest, and suggests everything that happens in the city for families with children. The 13th “Where to Go This Week” listing of 2018 is a day longer due to Easter, so event tips extend to Monday, April 2, Easter Monday. Early week activities and numerous Easter events and holiday tips with children lead to admiring and petting animals, watching puppet theater, visiting art exhibitions, and crafting. Easter events can also be found compiled in the Easter in Helsinki 2018 article.

Small Helsinki is about to turn 1 year old and the future of the website is open. The entire project started very small, from one mother’s idea to make Helsinki more child-friendly and help others find great things to do with small children. Has Small Helsinki’s content been helpful in your daily life? Could the website be something more? What would you like to read, what information do you need? Or is there already plenty of similar websites and information sources? All thoughts, development suggestions, criticism and praise, comments and anything that comes to mind are gladly received, as they help us see what the future brings. Leave a comment on the Praise and Criticism article, send an email (mari@pientenhelsinki.fi) or comment on Small Helsinki’s Facebook page.

The article’s cover image is from Haltiala Farm’s Easter celebration.
