  • What should we do today? Check out tips for boring days on Little Helsinki!
  • Dance and play workshops at the Caisa Cultural Centre (Kaikukatu 4 B) in the Maissi room on Mondays. Toddlers (1-3 years) dance with their own adult at 9.15 am and play-age children (3-5 years) at 10.15 am.
    The Dance and Play workshop inspires and guides Helsinki parents and children to create and experience dance art together. You can participate in the workshop instruction whenever it suits you, at all sessions or just some. Choose a time that works for you and arrive on time. No pre-registration required; places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Space for 12 first arrivals. Free admission.
  • Family Fun Sessions offer children under school age and their parents a space where they can move together independently and free of charge. On Mondays, Family Fun Sessions are held:

    - Family Fun Sessions at Tapanil Primary School (Veljestenpiha 2) on Mondays from 5-6.30 pm on October 2–December 11, 2023 (not in week 42).

Playgrounds on Monday

  • Playgrounds and family houses are open again normally. Playgrounds' indoor spaces are open for families on weekdays mainly from 9 am-12 pm; afternoons are reserved for school children.   • Health Check Park on Tuesdays from 9.30 am–1 pm in the lower hall of Kamppi Family Centre. Free admission.

Workshops are suitable for 1.5–3-year-old children together with their own adult. No pre-registration required, free admission.     - In Vuosaari at Merilahdek Primary School (Jaluspolku 3) on Tuesdays from 5–6.30 pm.

  • Itäkeskus Swimming Hall 30 years on Thursday from 11 am-6 pm. In addition to the program, the hall has free admission for the celebration day.

    - At Tali Sports Park soccer hall (Purotie 8) on Thursdays from 9.30-11 am from September 21–December 14, 2023.

  • Sports Fun Sessions at Sports Mill (Jauhokuja 3) in Myllypuro on Sunday from 9-10.45 am.
    Sports Fun Sessions offer children under 9 years old and their families the opportunity to move in varied ways and have fun. You can arrive on your own schedule; there is space for strollers in the foyer and you should pack your own lock for the changing room. Admission fee for adults €3.50, others €2, free for children under 9.
  • Eerie Plants - drama tour at Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden on Sunday at 12 pm, 1 pm, and 2 pm. Tickets: €5 / 5–12-year-olds (+ admission fee). An adult can participate as an accompanying guide in the adventure with the greenhouse admission fee. Tickets available in advance.
  • In Kulosaar Blue Villa Halloween on Sunday from 5-8 pm. The villa at Hopeasalmenranta 3 is decorated with a Halloween atmosphere, with performances every half hour starting at 5.30 pm. Free admission; Horror Café also available on site. Weather permitting; if it rains, the event will be rescheduled to another time.
