Garbage! -exhibition is a look at changes in consumer behavior, the twists and turns of waste management and recycling, and a dive straight into the pipes where 💩 adventures and meets many familiar characters. The Garbage! exhibition has been created in collaboration with HSY and Uusix workshop and will be on display until early October. Entry to the Helsinki City Museum is always free.

  • Kindergarten Museum is open Tuesdays from 12-7 p.m. In the workshop room, there's an opportunity to craft buzzing bees and caterpillars crawling on flower petals in the spirit of festival week. Museum entry is free in the spirit of celebration and festival week.
  • Art for Toddlers -workshop (Open Studio for Toddlers Workshops) at Caisa Cultural Center (Kaikukatu 4 B) on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Workshops are suitable for 1.5-3 year old children with an adult. No pre-registration required, free admission. You can participate in the workshops for the full time or just drop by.
  • A concert even with a baby! Siba's Café Concert at the Music Center café on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Free admission.
  • Last time this spring! Family Fun Sessions provide space for pre-school children and their parents to move together freely and free of charge.

Love and Anarchy presents: Ghibli Day at Bio Rex Lasipatalace on Sunday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Love & Anarchy Festival celebrates Studio Ghibli's 40th birthday on Sunday, May 18, all day at Bio Rex Lasipatalace! Sunday's program features film screenings and plenty of free side programming for all ages: including a Studio Ghibli-themed treasure hunt, Museum Leikki's LEGO workshop, Ghibli-themed puzzles and coloring pages, and Shumica's origami workshop. The film program features the charming Ponyo on the Cliff in Finnish and Ghibli favorites Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke in Finnish subtitles.
