You can bring your own basketball or table tennis rackets, as you're allowed to play in this artwork. Sports equipment is also available to borrow from the Amos Rex museum in exchange for a deposit during opening hours. Free admission.

Korkeasaari Summer Evenings are celebrated on three Fridays 27.6., 11.7., and 25.7.2025 and JT-Line's water bus operates extra trips between the island and Market Square. Paddle wheel boat Vispilä operates as a café at Korkeasaari's boat dock during summer evenings 6 pm–10 pm.
During summer evenings Korkeasaari is open with extended hours 10 am–10 pm (last admission 9 pm) and there are plenty of special programs for the light summer evenings. The summer evening program includes, for example, narrated animal feeding sessions, insect tours, and guided evening walks in Cat Valley. At the same time you can also explore the new Fabulous Insects exhibition. Special event tickets are not sold for Korkeasaari summer evenings; you enjoy the extended opening hours with a regular zoo admission ticket.
